Maslow's Dogs have descended from a tribe of loosely associated artistic souls which have lived in the Wenatchee Valley for nearly a century, or perhaps longer, depending on your metaphysical belief system. The band consists mostly of 40 years of old cassette demos of unfinished songs which are about to be digitized all to hell and posted here, unless they are extremely unstomachable. Membership in the band encompasses all who participated in the recording or creation of the recorded material. Credits and bios will accrue to this site, though not necessarily concurrently with the posting of recordings. As of 20190324 four unfinished songs are posted. The songs were recorded at Resonant Audio Recording in 2014 and in random subsequent sessions. The Maslow’s Dogs songs now posted are all written, performed and abandoned unfinished by Kevin Ohme.

I had superior help with this initial batch of posted musical nudity. My heartlyfelt gratitude to the following valued contributors and band members:

Travis Grable:

Bass on “Moon, Moon”, Mandolins on “Chaos Queen” and *“Old Marshall Tucker”*. Travis has given many years of unflinching support and inspiration. He is considered a current and forever member of Maslow's Dogs whether he likes it or not. *(“Old Marshall Tucker” is not yet posted. There are some legal questions regarding the blatant musical theft of one of the classic songs by "The Marshall Tucker Band".)*

Darren Reynolds:

Instant session drumming that feels like it has been there forever. After I tried drum tracking, Eric the Engineer with the Ear sighed, kicked back and said: “You need some drums.” Forty-five minutes later Darren was on the kit. One week later he moved from Wenatchee to Nashville.

John Weeks happened to be coming through Wenatchee on a rare visit from Chicago when I contacted him. He popped into the studio on his way through and thoroughly unpacked his viola and violin on “Forever Again”. (And “A Poor Man Will”, but I haven’t tracked down the mix with John in it yet)

Russell McDaniel:

Harmonicas. Russell was preparing for travel on the morrow from his home in Seattle, through his hometown of Wenatchee and on up the Columbia to an event when I contacted him. It had been many decades since we had seen each other. He ambled into the studio with a grin and a bucket ‘o ‘monicas. An hour later he had to leave, but not before he had kicked out some great tracks on “Forever Again” and “Old Marshall Tucker”. (“Old Marshall Tucker” is not yet posted. There are some legal questions regarding the blatant musical theft of one of the classic songs by "The Marshall Tucker Band".)

Eric Frank:

Eric is partner with Jesse Barrerra at Resonant Audio Recording in Wenatchee, WA. Eric is a great engineer and musician. Diplomatic to a fault and yet critical with sharp and merciful finesse. I hope the band is able to finish these sessions up with Eric someday soon!

Jesse Barerra:

Jesse teaches huge lessons in the shortest and wisest sentences ever offered to a rusty and struggling musician/songwriter/vocalist.

Though these four songs represent the the most recent project of the amorphous "Maslow's Dogs", they will not be the last, Dog willing.
